My Sister, Dara giving me last minute tips before we enter the jumper ring. This was the first year the National was held since the new Del Mar Arena was built. Quite an honor to ride in it! |
| After college, his career included occasional horse shows, western training and trail riding whenever we could. One of our most memorable shows was the Del Mar National. I showed him in both the Training I and II jumpers and Adult Equitation. We got in the jump offs and a few lower ribbons in the Eq classes ( I really can't remember-it seemed like ages ago.) Obviously we didn't win the blue because you would hear about it! |
Trotting in preparing to canter, or are we cantering? I always love the courses at Del Mar National, beautiful hunter fence! |
On Course! Love the palms! Del Mar Racetrack Grandstand (in back) |

The following year I took Treasure to the Autumn Gold Horse Show in Medford Oregon and won the Open Jumper 4' class! I was so excited. He is so fast and great with his turns. Truly an accomplishment. |
