Fayrouz arrived ahead of schedule.   When she stood and walked for the first time, she struck with both front legs and continued with a dance in her step!  With a powerful hind end and strong bone we are excited to watch her grow!  CA Silver Lilly is proving to be a wonderful dam.  She exhibits all of the greatness in a broodmare but after she is weaned she will continue to show.  Pharo remains the proud father!   Fayrouz exhibits the exotic egyptian head  with  her father's curved and pointed ears,  strong jibbah .  

Fayrouz, and Arabic name means "turquoise".  The ancient Egyptians mined turquoise in the Sinai  Peninsula as early as 5500 BC.  Turquoise was used as a sacred stone in all of their royal jewelry and ancient jewelry.  Turquoise has remained a treasured jewelry stone  for thousands of years.  In many countries the stone symbolizes good health, properity and success!  The American Indians believed that the stone brought together the great spirits of the sea and sky to bless the warriors.
